About Parents Without PartnersFounded in 1957, Parents Without Partners (PWP) is an international, non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to the welfare and interests of single parents and their children. We offer a large variety of family-oriented activities such as discussion and support groups, house parties, movies, sporting activities, dinner, theater, dances, picnics, weekend outings, museums, kids' play dates and more for those who are recently and even not so recently finding themselves in the role of a single parent. This includes both custodial and non-custodial parents alike. The Dallas PWP Chapter 47 is a local network of single parents like yourself. We can help you deal with the single again and single parenting issues and obstacles you are facing, provide organized fun and educational activities for your family, and offer social functions where you can meet other single parents. Membership Eligibility: To be eligible for membership in PWP, you must be a single parent by way of divorce, death, or never married. Custody of children is not a factor for membership eligibility. Our members come from all walks of life and represent a kaleidoscope of occupations, interests, and educational backgrounds. We can offer you the opportuntiy to meet other single parents who have been through and are going through the same challenges you are facing. We have found support and friendship through coming together and learning from one another. To find out more about the Dallas chapter of PWP and how to join, please contact any Board of Directors member or attend one of the activities to meet some of the members and get additional information. |
